Period Gap of orbital period distribution of CV

One of the most noted peculiar phenomenon shown in the orbital period distribution of CV is the lack of observations with orbital periods between 2 and 3 hours, known as the period gap (PG). (Livio & Shaviv 1983; Ritter 1984; Knigge et al. 2011).  Several theories have been proposed for interpreting this PG but are still debated (C. Garraffo et al 2018).

This research is an attempt to understand underlying scenarios and physics that reasoned to this period gap.
